Alumni Student Email

Your student account will automatically disable after three semesters if you do not re-enroll in classes. In accordance with the Alumni Email Standard, graduates will be provided a new Google email account in the alumni.vcu.edu domain. Visit Collaboration Services for more information and look for notification to claim your account in the coming weeks. To keep the account active, it must be signed into once a year.

Career Advising and Professional Development

During the next year, you will have full access to all of the career development services you had as a student, including one-on-one advising. If you are applying for jobs, VCU Career Services can assist with strategies to organize your search, resume and cover letter reviews, mock interviews and negotiation tactics. In addition, you may attend any of our career fairs as a VCU alumnus. If the next stop in your career journey is graduate or professional school, we can help you plan out your application timeline, develop or review your personal statements, or improve professional networking skills. Even if you didn’t utilize our services as a student, you are welcome to start now as a new grad! VCU alumni also maintain indefinite access to all of the resources available online at careers.vcu.edu and job postings through Handshake, VCU’s official job database for students and alumni. There are thousands of employers in Handshake that want to recruit VCU alumni. You can also use VCU Link as a place to build community and connections with fellow alumni.

Additionally, VCU Alumni Career Programs offers events, networking opportunities, workshops, and more throughout the year to support new grads and seasoned alumni in their professional pursuits. To ensure you are invited to events near you or even virtually, please update your current address and email information here. VCU Career Services and VCU Alumni Career Programs look forward to continuing to support your professional progress, even as your interests and priorities change. Let us know how we can help you today and into the future!
