The Qatar Leadership Exchange is the premier cross-cultural leadership development program in the Division of Student Affairs at VCU. The Student Government Association (SGA) in partnership with the VCU Division of Student Affairs sponsors the initiative. The program's purpose is to increase appreciation, awareness, and collaboration between VCU's Richmond and VCUarts Qatar campuses. The Exchange provides a once in a lifetime opportunity for student leaders to travel to the VCUarts Qatar campus in Doha, Qatar for one week during the fall semester. In addition, students will host the Qatar delegation in Richmond for one week in November, including planning for the campus' annual VCUarts Qatar Day celebration. The program is open to all students on both the Monroe Park and MCV campuses, including graduate and professional students. The program provides full funding for the students who are selected.
Selected students will be required to participate in the extensive planning of all aspects of the exchange and must be able to commit to the following dates (with the understanding that some changes may occur):
This experience is open to all VCU undergraduate, graduate, and professional school students on both the Monroe Park and MCV campuses based on the following guidelines:
