FAQs

Do I have to be in summer classes to use Student Health?  No.  Any student who is taking summer classes OR returning for classes in the fall can be seen at Student Health during the summer.

Is there a summer health fee?  Yes.  A one-time health fee of $60 will be billed to students when they come for a medical appointment.  This fee covers all visits from Monday, May 15 to Friday, August 11.  The health fee is required even if you are taking summer classes because it is not automatically billed with your summer tuition.

What are exceptions to the summer health fee?  Non-graduating students can be seen ONCE without a health fee from Monday, May 15 to Friday, May 19 if it is for a follow-up from the spring semester.

In addition, no summer health fee will be billed to students who are ONLY:

  • Using the Student Health Pharmacy (without a medical visit).

  • Coming for vaccination services.  Students are responsible for the cost of vaccines, titers, and/or tuberculosis testing.

  • Returning for Depo shots prescribed by a Student Health provider.  Students returning for Depo shots prescribed by an outside provider will be billed a $10 injection fee without the summer health fee.
