Melissa Anne Prestosa

According to the family's wishes, we want to share that Melissa Anne Prestosa of Midlothian, VA went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 15, 2016. She is survived by her parents Larry and Connie, brother David, and many other loving family and friends. A celebration of life memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, December 2, 2016 at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Road, Richmond, VA 23235. Attendees are encouraged to wear happy colors.

Emma Pascal

As the semester continues, we have experienced a loss within our VCU community which we wanted to share with you.

Emma Pascal, enrolled in the Art Foundation program in the School of the Arts, passed away on October 13, 2016. Please visit this website shared by Emma's family with a guestbook and information about services.

Emma's family has created a generosity.com fundraiser based on Emma's last act on this earth, which was to leave a small gift and kind note to a homeless person she did not know.

As a new semester approaches, we have experienced a loss within our VCU community which I wanted to share with you.

Kristin Dunbar, enrolled in the Art Foundation program in the School of the Arts, passed away on July 27, 2016.

In honor of Kristin, the Dunbar family has planned a celebration of life to gather as family, as friends, and as a community on Sunday, August 7, from 1-5 p.m. The celebration of life will take place at the Ten Oaks Ballroom, Fifth District Volunteer Fire Department, 5000 Signal Bell Lane, Clarksville, Maryland 21029.

Corey Randall

As the semester ends, we have experienced a loss within our VCU community which I wanted to share with you.

Corey Randall, a senior majoring in both Psychology and Criminal Justice, passed away on April 15, 2016. In honor of Corey, The Randall Family has created a personal memorial fund and are asking for donations in his name to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in lieu of flowers.

Chelsea Wagner, a junior in the English department, passed away this past weekend. On Saturday, Dec. 5, Black VCU Speaks is inviting the VCU community to a prayer and candlelight vigil in Monroe Park from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. to remember Chelsea. In honor of Chelsea, attendees are encouraged to wear her favorite colors, turquoise or purple for suicide awareness.
