Report a concern or learn more about types of concerns to report. In all instances, emergency situations should be reported immediately to VCU Police at (804) 828-1234 or dial 911.


Concerns About a Student

Examples: drastic change in mood, poor physical appearance or hygiene, substance abuse, or thoughts of self-harm.

Disruptive Classroom Behavior

Examples: angry or hostile outbursts in class, verbal abuse or intimidation, excessive demands for time and attention.

Sexual Misconduct/Violence and Sex/Gender Discrimination

Examples: sexual harassment, gender-based discrimination, sexual violence, and partner violence (including stalking).

Policy on Sexual Misconduct/Violence and Sex/Gender Discrimination

Honor System Violations

Examples: cheating, plagiarism, lying, and stealing.

General Student Conduct Violations

Examples: assault, theft, possession of weapons or explosives, and the violation of any federal, state or local law.

Student Code of Conduct

Employee Misconduct

Examples: cases of fraud, waste, or abuse, violations of government regulations, ethics, or VCU policies and procedures.
